We try and be very flexible when it comes to bad weather. Please note bad weather does not mean cloudy, a drop in temperature, or some light rain.Rain or shine we’re excited to take you out and have a good time as long as it’s safe.
Most of our clients book in advance, and already have their friends and supplies ready to go. From our years of experience we’ve noticed that most of our groups end up having the best time when there’s a little rain. Here in Texas we like saying, if you don’t like weather just wait 5 minutes and it’ll change. Even if you get a little rain, it’ll typically be followed by some sunshine!
We reserve the right to cancel any boat outing due to unsafe or uncomfortable conditions such as temperatures under 55F or winds over 20mph.
We have a minimum auto gratuity of 20% for all rentals. You can always add more if you feel your captain went above and beyond.
If you feel for any reason your captain did not meet 20% expectations please send a detailed explanation to [email protected]
Yes, you can leave a tip for your captain on the card you swipe.
We can split you payment in 2 but not more than that. You can always use Venmo or a similar app to square up with your friends.
In most cases, yes, we can charge the card used to make the deposit. However, we suggest bringing a card as a backup just in case.

Yes you can bring anything you would like to eat or drink. We do ask that you don’t bring red wine. Glass and styrofoam are prohibited at Loop 360 Boat Ramp and Hurst Harbor Marina
For Lake Austin boat rentals: Loop 360 Boat Ramp, 5019 Capital of Texas Hwy N. It is a public boat ramp and not an office. We will have a team down at the dock ready and waiting for you. If you cannot locate us for any reason please give us a call and we can direct you in the right direction.
There will be a pay booth when you arrive at Loop 360 Boat Ramp where you pay $5 per person CASH ONLY walk-in fee. Once you’ve paid you’ll walk towards the boat ramp/dock where your boat will be waiting for you.
For Lake Travis Boat Rentals: Hurst Harbor Marina, 16405 Clara Van St. Parking is available but we encourage ride shares or our Cruise On van if you plan on drinking.
We now offer a shuttle service for our Lake Travis customers through our Cruise On van!! For more information check out https://rentalboataustin.com/cruise-on-charters/.

No, we do not allow tubing, skiing, or wakeboarding from any Float On boats.

There is plenty to do and see on Lake Austin AND Lake Travis.
Lake Austin is a 26 mile long lake which offers a great scenic cruise. There is also a “party” cove where boats tie up together and enjoy the lake and swim. There are restaurants located on the lake such as Hula Hut, Ables on the Lake and Ski Shores. You can also stop by the rope swing located right after the 360 bridge.
Lake Travis is much larger in size and we’re almost certain you’ve heard of “Devil’s Cove” where boats tie up and party year round!
Yes!!!! You can definitely swim in Lake Austin AND Lake Travis.
If you have a boat with one of our drivers we can work with you. Sometimes the drive to your special pick up location will cut into your rental time depending on the day/time. Call us for more information.
If you bring a fishing pole you can fish!
We can always do a double boat party based on your party size and needs. We do require a 20% gratuity for our captains who do a double boat party.
No we do not provide grills on the boat and sorry but you can’t bring your own either.
We want all our pontoons to be operated at a safe speed, under 4500 RPMs.
We do not allow water sports at Float On because of safety and liability concerns. This includes tubing, water skiing and wake boarding. The lakes in Austin experience a lot of boat traffic and it’s a great risk for you and for us.
Yes all our boats have radios and Bluetooth so you can easily connect your favorite playlist!
We hold items for up to 48 hours and then discard of them if they are not collected. We do not have a storage solution at our place of operation so we cannot hold items for longer than this. Thank you for understanding.
