Below are some of the most frequently asked questions and answers alongside some of our general policies!
WEEKEND CANCELLATION POLICY:One week notice must be provided to get a refund on the $100 deposit. Less than 7 days but more than 48 hours will result in you losing the $100 deposit. Less than 48 hour cancellation notice you will be liable for at least half the rental amount if we cannot get the boat re-rented ($100 deposit lost if we do re-rent boat). Less than 24 hour cancellation notice you will be liable for the full rental amount.
HOLIDAY CANCELLATION POLICY: $100 minimum deposit charge on any cancellations. Less than 48 hours same rules apply as Weekends.
Memorial Weekend (5/25-5/28), 4th of July (7/4), Labor Day Weekend (8/31-9/3)
WEEKDAY CANCELLATION POLICY (Monday-Thursday): Less than 48 hours will result in deposit lost.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER
We try and be very flexible when it comes to bad weather. We will call you that morning if it is raining and you can either reschedule or get a refund on your deposit. Please note bad weather does not mean cloudy or a drop in temperature.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO DRIVE A BOAT OURSELVES
For our self captain boats on Lake Austin Mon-Thurs you do not need anything except a drivers license unless you were born on or after September 1, 1993. If you were born on or after this date then Texas law requires you have passed a boater education class or equivalency examination prescribed by the department.
CAN I BRING ANYTHING TO EAT OR DRINK ON THE BOAT
Yes you can bring anything you would like to eat or drink. We do ask that you don’t bring red wine.
Glass and styrofoam are prohibited at Loop 360 Boat Ramp and Hurst Harbor Marina
WHERE DO WE MEET YOU AND/OR PARK?
For Lake Austin boat rentals:
Loop 360 Boat Ramp, 5019 Capital of Texas Hwy N. It is a public boat ramp and not an office. We will have a team down at the dock ready and waiting for you. If you cannot locate us for any reason please give us a call and we can direct you in the right direction.
There will be a pay booth when you arrive at Loop 360 Boat Ramp where you can pay $10 per car to drive in and park your car and walk towards the boat ramp/dock where your boat will be waiting for you. There is also free parking across the street but you may be asked to pay a walk in fee of $3 per person.
For Lake Travis Boat Rentals:
Hurst Harbor Marina, 16405 Clara Van St. Parking is available but we encourage ride shares or our Cruise On van if you plan on drinking.
DO YOU PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION?

CAN WE BRING DOGS?
Yes you can bring your furry friend but please don’t let them on their seats as their nails can tear the leather seats.
DO YOU PROVIDE ICE?
No we do not provide ice but we do provide an empty cooler. We do offer a $50 Yeti package which includes a Yeti cooler, ice and bottled water.
CAN WE TUBE FROM A PONTOON?
No we do not allow tubing from out pontoons boats, only the ski boats.
DO YOU PROVIDE INFANT/KID LIFE VESTS?
Yes we have kid life vests of different sizes. However, if you have one that you know fits your kid we recommend you bring it. All children under 13 must wear their life vests while on the boat.
WHAT DO PEOPLE DO ON THE LAKE?
There is plenty to do and see on Lake Austin AND Lake Travis.
Lake Austin is a 26 mile long lake which offers a great scenic cruise. There is also a “party” cove where boats tie up together and enjoy the lake and swim. There are restaurants located on the lake such as Hula Hut, Ables on the Lake and Ski Shores. You can also stop by the rope swing located right after the 360 bridge.
Lake Travis is much larger in size and we’re almost certain you’ve heard of “Devil’s Cove” where boats tie up and party year round!
CAN YOU SWIM IN THE LAKE?
Yes!!!! You can definitely swim in Lake Austin AND Lake Travis.
CAN YOU PICK US UP FROM A DIFFERENT LOCATION?
If you have a boat with one of our drivers we can work with you. Sometimes the drive to your special pick up location will cut into your rental time depending on the day/time. Call us for more information.
CAN I FISH OFF THE BOAT?
If you bring a fishing pole you can fish!
WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS IF I HAVE MORE THAN 12 PEOPLE?
We can always do a double boat party based on your party size and needs. We do require a 20% gratuity for our captains who do a double boat party.
WHAT IS NORMAL TIP FOR THE CAPTAIN?
The usual tip amount is around 20% but it is up to you and your experience.
CAN I LEAVE A TIP ON THE CARD?
Yes, you can leave a tip for your captain on the card you swipe.
CAN WE SPLIT THE PAYMENT?
We can split you payment in 2 but not more than that.
CAN WE PAY WITH THE CARD ON FILE?
All credit card transactions go through our payment processor so be sure to bring a card to pay with.
IS THERE A GRILL ON THE BOAT?
No we do not provide grills on the boat and sorry but you can’t bring your own either.
DO WE HAVE TO PAY FOR GAS?
No gas is included in the price of the boat.
IS THERE A MINIMUM?
We have 2 and 3 hour minimums depending on the day and boat.
HOW FAST DO THE PONTOON BOATS GO?
We want all our pontoons to be operated at a safe speed, under 4500 RPMs.
WHY CAN’T WE DO WATER SPORTS ON HOLIDAY WEEKENDS?
We do not allow water sports on Holiday weekends because of safety concerns. This includes tubing, water skiing and wake boarding. Lake Austin is very narrow and because of increased boat traffic during these weekends it becomes a great risk for you and for us.
CAN WE RENT THE BOAT MULTIPLE DAYS AND LEAVE IT AT OUR LAKE HOUSE OR ON THE WATER?
No, we do not allow the boats to stay on the water over night. We will work with you to provide you a boat for the days requested.
IS THERE A RADIO ON THE BOAT?
Yes all our boats have radios and aux cables to plug in your own music through the boat speakers.
