Lake Austin Restaurants

You know those moments when you’re living your best lake life and all of a sudden you realize… YOU ARE STARVING!! 

I know… the worst 😅. 

Well one of my absolute favorite things about boating on Lake Austin is how easily accessible food is. There are currently 3 lakeside food spots open and one coming soon. 

🍍Hula Hut is located on the edge of Lake Austin and I love the fun and vibrant lake life vibe of this place. Their food is traditional Tex-Mex with a Hawaiian twist. I have some of my best memories sitting on the patio and sunset with Hippie Nachos and a margarita in front of me. 

🍔Able’s On The Lake is located right next to Hula Hut and they share the boat dock access. Able’s is a great place to watch all your favorite games, grab a beer and delicious food. Many a UT game have been watched from their large outdoor bar. 

☕️Mozart’s Coffee Roasters is the perfect place to get a pick me up and a delicious treat! Their display case of desserts and baked goods is absolutely drool worthy and you do not want to miss out. In addition to being a very cool lakeside coffee spot they also have live music and events! 

🍗County Line is down Bull Creek Cove and is such a fun BBQ spot! This unique dinning place offers plenty to look at from their decor to the fish and turtles in the water. You can even grab some food to feed them! You have to try the Homemade Bread with honey butter when your there.

Quick Pro Tip: If you are renting a boat but want to try one of these places without using valuable boat time, call ahead and order your food To Go! Your awesome Float On captain can cruise you over to pick it up 🙌🏼.

If you go upriver past the 360 Bridge but before Emma Long Park there used to be a restaurant called Ski Shores. It is currently closed and under new owners. I cannot wait to see what they have in store this summer!
